Please note that this is not a treatment programme. If you are suffering from serious mental health problems you should seek the advice of your doctor or health care provider before taking part in this course. Also if you are currently experiencing or recently experienced a traumatic event such as loss of a loved one or loss of a job it might not be the best time to start this course.
There are breathing exercises in this course which you are invited to try. However, if you have any ailments that make breathing difficult, please just take note of the exercises and seek medical advice before practicing them.
In the second course of 5 Step Meditation (Part 2, session 7) there are exercises from Qi Gong (meditative movement) which are not suitable for pregnant women. If you are receiving medical treatment, taking drugs, or have pain from injury, or have any doubts, consult your doctor before practicing this exercise routine. You should not do Qi Gong if you’re taking pain killers, under the influence of alcohol, if you feel unwell, if you’ve eaten a heavy meal in the last two hours or a light one in the last hour. If you don’t feel able to take part in the Qi Gong session you can take the course for a reduced fee.
